Berkshire Museum Capitol Improvements

Allegrone was hired to work with the Berkshire Museum on a large capital improvements project which entailed both interior and exterior upgrades. The existing nonfunctioning freight lift that serviced the 1st floor loading dock and basement was removed. A second story addition was added and new Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC) was installed to provide access from the basement level to the 2nd floor. Additionally, sitework improvements were completed which included a new sanity connection to the city service and foundation insulation and waterproofing to prevent water infiltration into their lower level which houses the Museum’s Aquarium and Art Storage.
