Tower of Victory
The Tower of Victory is one of the prized historic treasures of the Hudson Valley. For 125 years, it has stood as the nation’s only monument to the lasting peace that came after the end of the Revolutionary War.
Allegrone was contracted by the New York State Parks Department to restore the upper portion or Belvedere of the Tower of Victory. Our work included selective removals and salvage at the existing structure, the installation of a new steel framed structure with masonry cladding and clay tile roof to restore the tower to its original appearance, new flashings, waterproofing membrane, deck pavers, select area repairs and restoration of masonry elements, and repointing of the existing masonry façade.
